Andrew Kovacevic (born 13 June 1974 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) is an Australian football (soccer) player with Croatian origins playing for Floreat Athena. He last played as a centre full back for the Australian A-League club Perth Glory before retiring in March 2007.[1] One of the better defenders in the old National Soccer League (NSL) in its latter years and a member of the Melbourne Knights sides of the early nineties which won the 1995 and 1996 NSL finals series, Kovacevic returned from playing for Selangor FC in Malaysia to line up with the Perth Glory in the new A-League where he was solid at first before an injury midway through the season ruined the later half of his first A-League season. Kovacevic has also turned out for Adelaide City and South Melbourne FC in the old NSL.
